A member asked:

How close will a person with pet allergies have to be to get reactions?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not very close: Pet allergens tend to be airborne so one does not have to be very close to the animal to have symptoms. In fact, the animal may be out of the house and one can still have symptoms.
