Avoid the allergen: Avoiding the cause of the allergy symptoms is a way to get rid of the symptoms. That will work with foods, for example, but will not always work with aeroallergens, like pollen.

Options available: If a person cannot avoid the allergens that are causing his allergies, and he doesn't want to take any pills, he has some options. He can take liquid medicines, chew chewable tablets, use oral inhalers or nasal sprays, use eye drops for allergies, or get allergy shots.
