Depends on stage: If you are a beginning weightlifter (haven't lifted in six months), i would consider either stronglifts or starting strength, both googleable. These are 3 day a week lifting plans. If you are an intermediate weightlifter (have been weight training continuously for six months to a year) i would consider wendler 5/3/1.
