Bladder irritability: Frequent urge to urinate with minimal urine volume could be a sign of bladder irritability. This can be caused by a urinary tract infection, bladder stones, or an entity called overactive bladder. In men, problems with the prostate such as enlargement or infection can cause these symptoms. If the problem persists, a urologic evaluation could determine the cause and relieve the urinary bother.
