Can't tell..: .. But the dentist who extracted the tooth can. Possibly a broken root or an impacted tooth. Give them a call.

Not enough room: When a tooth comes in sideway, it means that there isn't enough room for it to come in normally. To correct this you need an orthodontist who will with braces will be able to position the tooth in your mouth correctly.
