Laser hair removal: could this cause eye damage?

Yes: A hair removal laser light, to be effective, must have its energy be absorbed by cells that contain pigment such as the hair follicle. The retina in the eye is made up of pigmented cells. These pigmented cells can be damaged by laser light.
