How to treat oligospermia?

Oligospermia: There is no specific treatment for oligospermia. If you can discover the cause, then you can try to treat that. Things to consider are: it may be random variation. Do another sperm count in 1-2 months. If you have sex or masturbation frequently, decrease your frequency to see if that helps. If you have trouble having sex, check your testosterone levels. Avoid meds that cause retrograde ejaculation.

A specialist eval: Oligospermia refers to a low sperm count (total or concentration). The real issue is sperm function. Men w/ poor function often have low count, motility and few normally shaped sperm. Causes run from genetic, heat (sauna, hot tub), medication (androgens for body-building), recreational drugs, extreme sports, unknown and others (no room here). Treatment based on cause but ivf/icsi works if needed.
