HIV: You should inform the doctor and the anesthesiologist, not so much for their safety because they should be using universal precautions, but rather so that your regimen of haart is not interrupted. Most doctors these days are very understanding about this and the few that are not should be reported to their state licensure board. Passing judgement on patients is not acceptable.
