Abdominal pain: Need more information. Any relationship to eating or to having bowel movements. Severe constipation would be the most common simple cause. Irritable bowel syndrome (cramping due to stress) is another common problem. Rarer problems include gyn issues, ulcers, gallbladder, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, or twisting or kinking of the bowel (torsion, hernia, etc.).

Examination needed: First seek a complete exam by your family physician. Then consultation with a gastroenterologist or gastrointestinal surgeon for appropriate testing. This type of complaint should be diagnosable and treatable.
