Routine Oral Exam: The mouth comes into contact with so many foreign items, contaminants, irritants, allergans, bacteria etc. It is not uncommon for it to get irritated or for you to have occaissional swelling of lymph nodes. You want to make sure that it is not a strep throat or a malignant lesion. If you ever have a fever or a cough get an exam and when you go to the dentist get an exam.
