I have an acl surgery coming up - concerned about being able to walk a trade show 4 weeks later-what might be the likelihood i am in great shape.

Discuss with ortho: Many people with acl repair require longer than 4 weeks rehab.

Possibilities: You likely will still have some swelling and potentially a mild limp 4 weeks after an acl surgery- this assuming your surgeon allows you to weight-bear immediately after the surgery. Some reconstruction protocols require non- or limited weight-bearing for 6 weeks after acl surgery. You will not feel normal at 4 weeks. You hopefully can walk with a normal gait ; no pain within 6-8 weeks of surgery.

Yes: You should be able to, though you may still be in a brace at that point. After being on your feet all day, make sure tou budget 30-60 minutes at the end of the day to elevate and ice.
