How to find a good doctor in chicago who specializes in hernias? any ratings/review websites? i cannot find any for doctors i am finding.

Word of mouth: Best reviews often come form word of mouth and other patients who have seen the dr. Most general surgeons do hernia repairs and I am sure you could call any major hospital in the chicago area and ask to be connected to the surgery dept/office or for a list of surgeons, than ask the dr. In consultation how many hernia repairs s/he does and their success rate, etc. Best wishes.

Doctor referral: To find a doctor who specializes in hernias, it would be a good idea to contact your insurance provider for an in-network provider. Usually, they would fall under the general surgery category. If you have a primary doctor in chicago, he or she is usually a good resource as well.
