If a hernia: is small, and depending on body habitus, it may be difficult or impossible to palpate on physical exam. Some are only visualized on imaging studies like CT. Incarcerated means it can't be reduced, so not enough info provided to determine that.

I had inguinal hernia surgery about three weeks ago. The doctor said all went well but I can still see the same bulge in my left groin.
