A member asked:

Is antral gastritis serious problem? is this starting stage of ulcer? is any chance there to cause cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lumphoma and cancer.: Hyperacidity and h. Pylori infection lead to ulceration of stomach and duodenum and occasionally lymphoma. Acid reflux can cause cancer of the esophageal-gastric junction. Neither should be taken lightly. Actively treat both. Antibiotics are required for h. Pylori and acid inhibitors and antacids for hyperacidity. A good balanced diet is always a good idea. No alcohol or smoking.
