Talk to OB!: Azithromycin is generally safe in pregnancy but frequently causes gastric irritation. Try taking it with Phenergan (promethazine) or ask your OB for an alternative antibiotic. Most respiratory infections are viral and do not require any antibiotic, rather oseltamivir or tamiflu to get better faster.
