Concerta is a long-: Acting form of methylphenidate in a tube with an oros delivery system inside to absorb water and push medication out slowly so it will last 10-12 hrs and some immediate release methylphenidate as a coating to get the effect started. It must not be cut/crushed/chewed as that will disrupt integrity and cause all to release at once. Prescriber can adjust dose and regimen to work better. Best regards.

Concerta: Concerta is long-acting, and like any long-acting or extended-release medications, cannot be cut in half.
