Lots of Things: Do you mean cervical spine? Abnormal could include fractures, disc narrowing, arthritic changes, destructive lesions from infection or cancer, osteoporosis, etc. Do you mean the soft tissues of the neck? Abnormal could mean calcifications of lymph nodes or carotid arteries, swelling of the soft tissues in back of the throat, foreign bodies in the airway or esophagus, etc. Lots of things.
