Normal: These are terms used by the radiologist to describe normal findings from a pelvic ultrasound. The image obtained by sound wave reflections in the body (ultrasound) is seen as "echoes" and the uterus should demonstrate homogeneous (uniform) "echogenicity." there should be nothing suspicious such as tumors (masses) and the cul-de-sac is an area behind the vagina which should not have fluid.
