TSH: Is a hormone produced from the pituitary gland. It stimulates the thyroid to produce more thyroid hormone. The thyroid mostly produces t4, which is converted to t3, (liothyronine) the active thyroid hormone, by our bodies. Thyroxine is T4 hormone. If TSH is low, that is usually is an indication that the body has too much thyroid hormone, when it is high it means there is not enough.
