TSH: The TSH should decrease with treatment. It is the hormone that is sent out from the hypothalamus to tell the thyroid how much thyroid hormone to make. The fact that you are now getting as Synthroid, (thyroxine) your body is now telling the thyroid, by a lower TSH, that it has now gotten more thyroid hormone. This is a correct response and dose.
