A member asked:

Neither my gp or gi doc knew that hiatal hernia & ed were likely related incidents. is there a doc to ask about ehlers danlos items?

Not specifically: As you know, ehlers-danlos syndrome is a connective tissue disorder that predisposes some patients to hernia formation. While it may be a contributing factor in your case, there are plenty of people without e-d that also have hiatal hernias. There are no specialists that specifically deal with e-d, but there may be some with specific interest and expertise. I hope you find what you're looking for.

Rheumatologist: Rheumatologists specialize in connective tissue disorders. (but the GI or a surgeon will be better at managing symptoms from a hiatal hernia.).
