Possible: if a person lose weight and end up with less abdominal pressure that will push the stomach up in the chest ,the sliding part of the fiatal hernia will be gone, but the actual hernia which is a widening in the opening of the hiatus will always be there ,but will not be visualize by X ray or endoscopy, specially with the lack of reflux. your hernia unless repaired suurgically will always be there.
