It depends: The recommended daily intake for biotin is 30 mcg but most people don't need to take any as it is fairly easy to get that amount via your diet. However. Some people benefit from larger amounts for conditions such as diabetes and brittle nails. Doses up to 16, 000 mcg/day have been used to treat diabetes and have been found to be safe.
