Nighttime paranoia: If you do not feel paranoid during the day, then these are hypnopompic hallucinations. These can be benign but frightening. They are usually visual however. It is possible that this represents a response to sleep disordered breathing as well if your oxygen drops at night. Please see your doctor to be evaluated for possible apnea or nighttime oxygen desaturation. Consider nighttime hypoglycemia.
