Never sure: A myeloma will show up well on a bone scan. C ur orthopedist for evaluation ; x-rays, ; possible further imaging.

MRI: Consider getting an MRI of the lumbar spine to look at tissues not seen on ct or x-rays. Myeloma is certainly more rare than degen disc disease. Discuss with your doctor.

Had l spine xray and CT scan for kidney stones, all clear. Low back pain..Would l spine xray have shown lower back tumor? No stones, uti, etc.
