Possible cold sore: You may have a cold sore which is caused by the herpes virus.This is contagious so you should be careful while it heals. If you get these frequently there is an oral medication you can take to have them heal more quickly. You would need a prescription for this medicine. Another possibility is impetigo. You usually have yellow crust on your skin when that is the diagnosis. That also needs ttreatmen.
