PHOBIAS:: Encourage him, support him. If recent onset, evaluate/find the reason, communicate with his school teacher. Discuss in detail with his pediatrician soon. Counselling helps a lot of times. There is no miracle medicine for this for his age.

Agree: Consult with pediatrician.Bear in mind, too, that fears are very common among children. Studies show that up to 50% between the ages of 6 and 12 have many fears. Most tend to be mild, but even the more intense one tends to subside on their own. We become concerned about phobias and issues like separation anxiety when fears become sufficiently debilitating to interfere with daily functioning.
