Involves facing/exposing yourself 2the feared object/situation but gradually, in progressive steps (e.g., from looking at photo of spider, 2holding toy spider, right up 2holding live one). At each step, you experience fear but "stay w/ it" until your level of fear drops/you feel relaxed. Work w/ behavioral/cognitive-behavioral specialist.
