Sad & lonely: Feeling depressed or exhibiting clinical depression? If you are sad & lonely is there something you can do about it? Consider checking out the "Feeling Good Book" by David Burns. It can help one work through correctable issues that can make you feel down.

Agree with Dr. F: Depression is not a moral failing but result to chemical imbalance in the brain. See your doctor as there are effective treatments for the disorder and you do not need to suffer. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.

DEPRESSION: There is nothing lame about feeling depressed. 1st have a physical exam to rule out a physical problem. Please consult with a Clinical Psychologist for psychotherapy to help you with ZOOM.com sessions. With psychotherapy you can change & find better coping mechanisms for dealing with stress and Depression. Medication can be helpful prescribed by a Psychiatrist.
