No: Although a steroid nasal spray may help with allergic symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose and sneezing it will not improved the actual anatomic problem of the deviated septum.

No: A nasal steroid spray may reduce some nasal congestion especially if that is due to allergies or swelling. A deviated septum means the bone and cartilage inside the nose is crooked. This can lead to nasal blockage. Only surgery will correct a deviated septum.

Deviated septum: A deviated septum is not an uncommon problem. It can lead to nasal obstruction, snoring and even sinus issues. You only need surgery if you are having symptoms. Be sure to have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist. Surgery is the only treatment.
