Not likely, but: Since cancer worries are so hard to shake without facts - ask a dr to examine you and test if there is reason. Throat clearing can become a behavioral habit and that can maintain just enough irritation to perpetuate it even more strongly. A cbt therapist might help with the habit breaking. But do get a reassurance from a doctor so it stops gnawing on your mind. Best!
