Several possibilitie: Is your vision affected? Is there light sensitivity? This could be an external infection or inflammation or it could be an internal inflammation termed iritis or uveitis. It could also be a condition termed scleritis. These need to be sorted out by your ophthalmologists especially if the vision is diminished.
