Fruits: The key to getting kids to eat fruit in my experience is to make fruits easily available and make other sugary snacks much less available. Model good eating habits by eating fruits in front of your children. Share with them.

Model healthy eating: habits. Eat only at scheduled ~ 25 minute sit-down family meals & ~15 minute snack times with pleasant conversation. Don't allow sodas & junk food in your house. Limit milk & milk products to 16-21 oz./day & juice to 0-4 oz./day. Let the kids help select & prepare healthy foods for meals & desserts.Don't nudge or respond to protests.
