Be mindful: While fruits are great and smoothies can likewise be great, remember as a diabetic you have impaired glucose handling. So with a fruit smoothy, your blood sugar may spike significant related to the fruit sugars. Same reason why diabetics drink orange juice when they are hypoglycemic(low blood sugar). You may first want to see how your blood sugar responds to a fruit smoothy.
