A member asked:

How long should the gum close after a tooth gets pulled out?

Varies: This depends on the tooth, how big the root was, and how traumatic the extraction was, if it was a surgical extraction or not, and individual health. It will take time for the bone to fill in the space so you will notice the hole there for several weeks. The hole will be covered by gum tissue. Follow the instruction give when you had the extraction and you should heal as quickly as possible.

Extraction healing: The healing from a routine ( not surgical ) extraction should be approx a week, with healing starting within 3 days it will and can vary as to why the tooth needed to be removed.
