I have a partial tear in my achilles tendon and was told to get a walking boot. should i get a short or tall walking boot?

Tall: The tall boot would be better, but considering your age, repair of the tear would be your best options. Seek out a foot and ankle surgeon for consultation.

Tall: You need to nutralize the Calf muscle and prevent the ankle from flexing. A tall boot would be more secure and reduce play in the ankle. Also add heel lifts to lesson tension on achilles tendon.

Tall: A tall walking boot would do better to limit the plantar flexion at the ankle joint, which would the protect the partial tendon tear, hopefully allowing it to heal.
