A 52-year-old female asked:

Can a person walk-maybe with a limp-with a partially or completely ruptured achilles' tendon?

Yes: However a partial future should be rested with an immobilizer boot to limit plantar flexion (pushing down with foot) as this action puts added stress on the achilles. Immobilizer boots are designed with rocker bottoms so you can still walk.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
