Anxiety and depression getting really bad, i want to be on some medication but am scared it will make me zombie like or even more sad. what's best?

No zombie antidepres: There is no need to be afraid in this regard. You will need to see your family doctor or a psychiatrist. Have your family doctor review physical causes. Psychotherapy is a must. Wellbutrin (bupropion) is the most energizing antidepressant and will not cause any zombielike affects. For the anxiety, if it is due to the depression won't need any other treatment. If however the anxiety is a separate issue such as generalized anxiety then i would recommend buspirone. Best wishes and there is no need to fear treatment.
