Need more exercise: It would be better to have more consistent exercise than twice a week. Can you do some walking -- even if slowly -- each day? This will help your metabolism also. The stretch bands may help build muscle which will improve your metabolic rate (muscle uses up more energy than fat does). For a more personalized plan, work with a physical therapist or trainer ; nutritionist.

Sounds good: Exercise combined with a prudent nutrition plan is a sensible combination with which to embark on a weight loss plan. Given your history, avoid over the counter weight loss aides (fat burners).
