Depends: Families who follow a vegetarian lifestyle through multiple generations have and do learn to provide a proper balance of nutrients to sustain normal growth and development. Kids are at risk if a parent decides to adopt this lifestyle without any training, as many nutrients found in meats may be deficient and result in specific problems like anemia and or developmental delay.
