A member asked:

I ate unhealthy at a young age, but never had any problems like cholesterol and blood pressure. am healthy now, but could child diet affectme late on?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don't worry: There is a "pop" / government claim that the primary prevention of atherosclerosis must begin in early childhood with diet, simply because of the existence of fatty streaks -- tiny spots in arteries superficially resembling real disease and seen in all youngsters. Most of my fellow-pathologists discount this and believe these lesions are inconsequential. Adopt a fitness lifestyle now & it's moot.
