Extraction: It would be a good idea if you waited as long as possible - smoking could disturb the clot and you might get a dry socket- if that occurs it generally occurs 2-3 days after the extraction. It starts felling better and then it gets a whole lot worse - if you experience get back to your dentist or oral surgeon right away.

Probably !: Just make sure that the blood clots in the extraction sites are organized enough that the suction you create will not pull them out. Maybe this is a good opportunity to stop smoking.
