A member asked:

We noticed a moveable lump on the right side of my 5 year old grandson neck t him to the doc gave him a round of antibiotics lump is still there. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lump: The lump in neck may be an enlarged lymph node, cyst or from other possible etiologies. A reactive lymph node does not go away with antibiotics. It gets smaller on its own over weeks / months. A swelling that increases in size, gets painful, hard or associated with other lumps in the body is concerning. Need to f/u with your physician to know the possibilities.
