A member asked:

Please can a regular doc.tell me what this painless moveable lump can be thats been on my neck for a few months with no symptoms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: Tanya, it could be many things. If the lump is on the back of the neck, it is most likely a lymph node. If it is on the front, it is still probably a lymph node, but could also be a thyroid nodule or several other things. In either event, if it has been present for that long, you should see your doctor, who can actually examine it. Hope this helps!
