Herpes: First, 75% of americans have been exposed to and are infected with herpes type one. All sexually active humans should have the blood test to see if they have been or have not been exposed to the herpes viruses. If your partner has not been exposed to herpes before (which is unlikely given the statistics) then yes, of course you can transmit herpes to them through this sexual contact.
