Nerve Impingement: People who wake up with a tingly feeling in the hand may suffer from a peripheral nerve impingement. If the thumb index and middle fingers carpal tunnel syndrome could be the cause. If the sensation affects the ring and pinky fingers, cubital syndrome could be the cause. Carpal tunnel is a median nerve impingement at the wrist. Cubital tunnel syndrome is an ulnar nerve impingement at the elbow.
