What is your BP?: Lvh means left ventricular hypertropy. This occurs when the heart is under more pressure than normal. Your heart (a muscle) will grow just like if you lifted iron. If your blood pressure and weight are normal than there is not much to worry about. If your BP or weight is up then you should try and lower these.

Common in HTN: This is commonly seen in persons with hypertension. It implies that ones heart muscle has begun to hypertrophy (thicken) in response to the elevated blood pressure. The hypertrophy might be halted by treating the hypertension (keeping ones BP at or below 130 mm systolic). The basal septal hypertrophy needs clarification; it would be important to ask how thick the septum is; have you had an echo?
