long time healing: The removal of the tooth and the ab's should have eliminated the problem go back to the dentist who pulled the tooth it may be from another tooth in the same area that was not as bad as the pulled tooth.

Abscessed tooth heal: Hopefully the dentist removed the cyst or granuloma associated with the diseased tooth. If the surgery was extensive (tooth sectioned and or bone removed, healing takes time. Remember this area has to heal from the bottom up and heal across the width of the wound. 8-12 weeks all will be fine. If not return to the dentist.
