VERY!: A fetal echocardiogram is the definitive study to determine if the baby possibly has a vsd. Not to worry, this is a very common heart malformation and is one of the easiest to fix. Have you had an amniocentesis, as sometimes vsd is part of a chromosomal syndrome that you might want to consider testing for. Best of luck!
