very often: If you have no history of heart disease, this is likely to be wrong. It's based on abnormal voltage of the R wave in lead v2 and is very often due to lead placement. If your doctor moves the leads around a little (usually going up or down a rib interspace), the infarct pattern often disappears. An echo or nuclear stress test can also rule this out.
